OBJEKT (2017)
sound installation

Edwin Lo’s sound installation »OBJEKT« is a poetic sound and object landscape, in which the artist portrays and interprets Berlin from the unaccustomed perspective of its waterways. Lo’s piece combines water soundscapes recorded in the city, featuring its lakes, rivers and canals, with diverse materials and objects (stones, glass, mirrors) as well as photo and text documents in a complex spatial ensemble. In doing so, he explores the relationships between the various materials and sounds as well as the connection between waterscapes and cityscapes.

Organized by singuhr e.v. Supported by Bezirksamt Pankow von Berlin (Amt für Weiterbildung und Kultur, Fachbereich Kunst und Kultur) and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC). With the kind support of Meinblau e.V.
